    Caroline B. Ebby is Senior Researcher at the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. She has extensive experience bridging the worlds of university-based research and school-based practice in mathematics education. Her research focuses on building teacher capacity, the use of learning trajectories to enhance formative assessment, and improving mathematics instruction through university-school partnerships. At Penn GSE, Dr. Ebby has taught mathematics methods and assessment courses for the elementary education programs (utap.gse.upenn.edu) for over twenty years. Prior to receiving her Ph.D. at the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Ebby was a middle school mathematics teacher. Dr. Ebby is a national trainer for the Ongoing Assessment Project (ogapmath.com) and the co-founder of the Community Based Mathematics Project of Philadelphia (www.cbmp.gse.upenn.edu), a group of educators focused on designing middle school mathematics curriculum activities that build on and reflect local urban contexts.
